The candidate should have experience in developing and editing high-quality, error-free content. This role will be the crux of our operations closely knit with the SEO team to incorporate the right keywords and content on our digital platforms that will help generate new leads, enhance website traffic and in turn increase our revenues. Looking up fresh content, relentlessly conducting thorough research on the business and our competitors and using these insights for curating well-articulated content that would provide readers with useful advice and information – is what this job entails. The candidate should be well-versed with written English and be able to form clear, coherent, and concise content where required. Taking ownership of tasks, and leading multiple projects simultaneously will be one of the key driving skills required in this role.

Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough research on latest content development trends and best practices
• Developing content for Unobox’s communication platforms that appeal to the target audience, attracts customers and boosts brand awareness
• Overseeing and updating content of various existing platforms when required
• Developing content plans fit for Unobox’s existing platforms and churning out fresh content on weekly basis
• Coordinating with the SEO team to implement best SEO practices when developing content
• Ensuring messaging on all platforms is consistent with Unobox’s brand guidelines
• Ensuring content is simple and easy to understand for readers
• Proof-reading written content on Unobox’s platforms and conducting quality checks to ensure content is free of factual, grammatical errors

Requirements

• Bachelor’degree in Mass Communications, English, Linguistics, or related field (Master’s degree would be a plus)
• Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills
• Knowledge and experience about Content Management Systems such as WordPress
• At least a year’s worth of experience as a content writer
• Attention to detail
• Ability to handle tight deadlines and multi-task
• Reliability in terms of meeting deadlines
• Portfolio of original written and published work will be required
